Frequently Asked Questions About CPR Training in West Michigan

Do you come to our workplace to run the training?

Yes. Onsite training is most of what we do. We bring the manikins, AED trainers and all course materials to your building anywhere in West Michigan, so your team never leaves the site. Group classes start at six people.

What areas of Michigan do you serve?

We are based in Ada, just east of Grand Rapids, and we travel across West Michigan: Grand Rapids, Holland, Zeeland, Grandville, Hudsonville, Wyoming, Kentwood, Rockford, Grand Haven, Muskegon, Kalamazoo, Ionia, Lansing and Big Rapids. We will travel farther for a fee, so ask.

Which certifications do you offer?

BLS CPR for healthcare providers, CPR and AED certification, CPR with First Aid, bloodborne pathogens, ACLS and PALS. We also run hands-on fire extinguisher training for workplaces.

How long does a CPR certification last?

Two years. We keep a record of when your team certified and can remind you before the cards expire, so nobody lapses without noticing.

Who teaches the classes?

Working firefighters and paramedics who use these skills on real calls, not classroom-only instructors. That is the whole reason the company exists.

How many people do we need for an onsite class?

Six is the usual minimum for a group class at your location. If you are an individual rather than a business, get in touch and we will fit you into a scheduled class.

Do you sell AEDs as well as teach CPR?

Yes. We sell and service defibrillators from every major manufacturer, supply replacement pads and batteries, and track your expiration dates for you so your unit is ready when it is needed.

How often do AED pads and batteries need replacing?

Pads typically expire after about two years and batteries last roughly two to four years depending on the model. The unit itself has a service life of around eight to ten years. Most expired AEDs are expired because nobody was watching the dates.

Are you actually a local company?

Yes. LifeSaver CPR Training is locally owned and operated out of Ada, Michigan, has been in business over ten years, and is five-star rated on Google. You are dealing with people who live here, not a national booking service.

How do we book a class?

Fill in the form on this page with your organisation, how many people need training and roughly when you need it, and we will come back with dates and a quote.
